The Hon. Julia Gillard MP, Prime Minister and Member for Lalor, was on hand to turn the sod for the next stage of BLP’s work at the Werribee Mercy Hospital: construction of the Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Service. The project comprises 30 specialist sub-acute beds, a gymnasium and a two storey community rehabilitation centre.
Combining subacute beds, rehabilitation and geriatric medicine under the one roof, the new service is an important project for the area that will provide efficient, innovative and accessible care for the fastest growing municipality in Victoria.
This is BLP’s latest project at the Werribee Mercy Hospital campus, having previously completed masterplanning, feasibility studies and the Maternity and Special Care Nursery for the Hospital.
