Associate Director Interior Designer Tonya Hinde discusses her creative influences, challenges and processes in an interview in The Design Pharmacy issue of Indesign magazine.
Of her extensive work in the health sector, she explains:
Healthcare design teaches you that you are just one person, and in fact, it’s not about you. The more designers that can get out of their own headspace and into others’, the better life will be.
“The Creativity of Caring” refers to Tonya’s belief that, contrary to assumptions, the health and aged-care projects she has designed with BLP reveal they are the most vibrant and creative sectors.
The interview explores her experience designing three significant health projects with BLP – The Royal Children’s Hospital, Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre and Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
