Contemporary redevelopment in a historic court precinct
BLP redeveloped Bendigo’s old Police Station building into a Department of Justice Regional Office and Justice Service Centre, incorporating an auxiliary courtroom, on Bull Street is located in the heart of Bendigo.
The project comprises a two-storey building designed and built to align with the historic court precinct, and the heritage overlay on the site reflects this.
The Justice Service Centre consolidates existing Department of Justice services, currently provided from several dispersed locations, into the one location. BLP staged works to ensure the adjoining historic 19th Century Bendigo Court House remained fully operational throughout the refurbishment.
