An abundance of natural light opens up the building with an intelligent use of voids and timber bridges.
46-58 Holt Street in inner city Surry Hills was redeveloped into an A-grade building with inclusion of an additional eighth floor, adjoining roof terrace and façade upgrade. The refurbishment provided for the conversion of a large floorplate commercial building into a series of flexible strata office suites. Central to the conversion was the breaking of the floorplate into discernible components with the introduction of natural light to the centre. Circulation is always toward light, with floors grouped around a central void and shared facilities. The project reinvigorated a building in an important Sydney location.
