Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre (AWRCC) has been shortlisted in the public category in the Australian Interior Design Awards.
The prestigious awards, backed by the Design Institute of Australia, are acclaimed within the architecture sector. Selected from a record-breaking 525 entries, AWRCC is amongst an impressive cohort of projects across Australia that showcase interior design excellence.
The striking three-storey regional cancer centre, built adjacent to Albury Hospital, unites several cancer services; offering a place to educate, support, research, diagnose and treat all forms of cancer. Delivered without any of the traditional aspects of a hospital, the Centre’s design emphasises tranquillity, reducing stress on patients, visitors and staff.
Tonya Hinde, Associate Director and lead Interior Designer on the project, remarked:

The winners of the 2017 Australian Interior Design Awards will be announced at a special ceremony on the 9 June 2017 at The Glasshouse in Melbourne.
