Through his steadfast leadership and unrelenting passion for excellence, they built a company that stands tall among the world’s leading architectural practices in social infrastructure design.

BLP has consistently pushed the boundaries of design, notably in healthcare, learning spaces, science & technology, communities, and workplace. Under Ron’s stewardship, BLP has left an indelible mark on the global architectural landscape with leading, award winning projects, including , the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Perth Children’s Hospital, Orygen Youth Health, and the Doherty Institute, to name a few. Most recently, Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment was recognised on the global stage, winning the top accolades for Mental Health Design and Interior Design and the Arts at the 2023 European Healthcare Design Awards.

I have had the distinct privilege of working with an exceptional team of talented individuals who have, over the years, helped to shape BLP into the industry leader it is today,’ says Ron Billard. “Although I am stepping back, I am excited about BLP’s future and have full confidence in the talented team that will carry on our legacy, continuing to be leaders and innovators in our industry.”

Though retiring from his role at BLP, Ron will continue to channel his passion for architecture and design into his private consultancies. This will include Ron continuing to offer his unique expertise and insights on design and masterplanning to BLP projects.

The BLP team extends a heartfelt gratitude to Ron Billard for his enduring dedication, his tireless work ethic, and his inspiring leadership. His contribution to the architectural community is truly remarkable, and his influence will undoubtedly resonate in the fabric of BLP and beyond.
